Can I Laminate Pallet Boards to Create a Thick Tabletop?

I'm planning to build a large desk but want to avoid the high cost of a single large wood piece. I've got several smaller boards from disassembled pallets and I'm curious if I can laminate some layers of 1/2" thick boards together to make a solid tabletop. I've never done this type of project before, so I'm looking for advice on whether this is a feasible idea or if I might waste my time and materials.

Absolutely, that can work! Just keep in mind it may take a bit of labor to flatten all those boards. If they're not even, you might end up with issues down the line, like splitting. Commercially, this is a common practice, so it's definitely possible! Do you have a jointer and planer? Those will help out a lot!

Yeah, I do have a jointer and a planer, but the jointer is only 6" wide. I'm aiming for a desktop around 2-3 feet deep.
