How Can I Build Safe Lumber Storage on My Garage Wall?

I recently bought a house and have just started woodworking. I'm trying to figure out how to create a sturdy and safe storage solution for lumber on my garage wall. While money isn't a huge concern, safety is my top priority. I considered purchasing a lumber rack that I can screw into the studs, but I'm unsure about the appropriate screw size or whether it could damage my studs. I also found a ceiling-mounted option, but I'm a bit hesitant about drilling into my trusses. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

It’s best to distribute the weight to the floor when possible. Try to find a rack that can help you transfer some of the load downwards. It’ll be much safer in the long run!

That's a good point! But I think I need the wall space for my lumber. I already have stuff on the floor.
