I'm looking for advice on how to stop my cat from munching on my houseplants. My cat just devoured all my spider plants in one night, and while I managed to put them on a high shelf, I'd really like to have some plants out on the counters or tabletops without worrying too much. I want to avoid using sprays and I'm concerned about her getting sick from eating the wrong plants. What are some effective and safe methods to deter her?

I think a good strategy is to keep your well-behaved cats away from the 'plant munchers.' It's kind of a slippery slope — if they start on plants, who knows what else they'll get into? Just be cautious, and good luck!
One trick I've heard is to use crinkled aluminum foil over the soil of the pots. It startles them when they try to dig in, and might help keep them away from your plants. Just a thought!
I tried a lot of things and honestly, nothing worked for me. I had to move all my plants to a different room. Aluminum foil did deter them for a bit, but it made my counters look pretty bad. You might want to consider some super realistic fake plants instead!
