I'm trying to figure out whether there's a real difference between Regular and Performance batteries. Specifically, can I use a Performance battery in a non-Performance 20V device? The connections seem pretty similar, so any insights into the differences and similarities would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The main difference lies in the power management features of the Performance batteries, which you can control via an app. However, you can use any battery across the 20V tools, as long as it's a 20-volt battery. So, whether it's a Performance or Regular battery, they'll work together just fine. And don't worry about your English; it’s great!
Essentially, they’re the same battery-wise. There aren’t any significant differences for basic use. Just keep in mind that they might look different and could have different prices due to those app features and extra functionalities.
True, but I noticed the Performance ones seem to have better ratings in terms of longevity.

Your explanation makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clearing that up!
