I recently had a new back door installed, and I'm not sure if it was done right. The door is set back from the frame, unlike my previous door, which was flush. The hinges don't look great to me, especially with the cutouts, and the door latch is scraping against the frame since the strike plate is placed so far back. I've heard that they used a 2x4 door for a wall that should have had a 2x6, which required some extensions. Do you think the installation looks bad enough that I should ask them to replace it with a correctly sized door?
