I'm working on a project that requires creating a relatively small inside hole, and I'm hoping to find a flush trim or trimming bit that's around 1-2 mm in size. I'm also open to alternatives like a Dremel or using sandpaper, rather than just traditional fluted bits. Does anyone know if such a small bit exists or how I might be able to find one?

I really doubt you'd find a bearing bit that small. However, you might want to try looking for a tiny bushing that can fit with a regular bit instead. That could give you the precision you're after without needing an ultra-small bit.
On my first search, I found a bit that’s about 1.57 mm (1/16 inch) which might work. You can check it out here: [1.57 mm flush cut bit](https://a.co/d/ftwvgfC). You might also want to use a template with it. I highly doubt there are bits down to 1 mm, though!
If you're looking for a really small hole, scaling up a template and using a follow ring with the router might be your best bet. But for something as small as 0.5 mm, that sounds tricky! Have you thought about freehanding with a Dremel using a tile cutting attachment? It might do the trick!
