Can I Keep a Strawberry Tree Small?

I'm considering planting a strawberry tree, but I'm concerned about it getting too big. Is there a way to limit its growth once it reaches a certain height?

Strawberry trees aren't actually that large, typically reaching around 12 feet if left unpruned. To really keep it small, you will need to prune it every year, but just remember that pruning could mean less flowers and fruit.

Good point! I guess I'll need to balance size with my desire for fruit.

You might want to consider getting a dwarf variety of strawberry tree, as they’re naturally smaller and won’t grow as tall. It could save you the trouble of trying to manage a regular one.

I’ll check them out! I’m hoping for something manageable in size.

If you really want a small one, consider putting it in a big pot instead of planting it directly in the ground. That might help manage its size a bit better.
