I've decided to venture into building my own Bluetooth speaker, especially since I have some experience with DIY projects. I recently fixed a broken Lamax Beat Sentinel 1 and have a couple of speakers that could work with its board. However, I'm feeling a bit lost on how to proceed. I want to ensure I create something with good sound quality, but I'm not very knowledgeable about audio systems. I've come to realize that there's a lot of confusing information online about speaker and amplifier choices. Should I use a separate amplifier with the Bluetooth module, or is it better to go for an all-in-one board with just the speakers? If anyone has some solid advice (and not just the typical suggestion to buy a ready-made speaker), I would really appreciate the help!

If you're repurposing quality speakers from an older hi-fi system, you can create an awesome Bluetooth speaker without spending a fortune. Those old cabinets were designed well, so they'll likely outperform many cheap modern Bluetooth speakers. Just make sure to pair them with a decent Bluetooth amp module and some batteries for power. It's a solid budget-friendly option!

That sounds promising! Any specific brands you could recommend for those amps? I'm considering options like Sony or Yamaha, and maybe some local brands since I’m in the Czech Republic.
