Hey everyone, I've got this strange damage happening in my yard and I'm not sure what's causing it or how to fix it. I've attached a link to some photos. This isn't the first time I've seen patches like this, but it feels worse than usual. I really need some advice on what it could be and what I can do to help it recover. Thanks!

There are a few possibilities. Moles, voles, or even other small animals might be digging for food. If you see any holes, consider setting traps. For bugs, an insecticide could help. I’d recommend taking your photos to a local plant nursery; they might give you the best advice tailored to your area!

Thanks for the tip about the nursery! I don’t have visible holes, so it might be the birds. I think I’ll try some grub killer and follow up with grass seed to help with regrowth.

It looks like you might be dealing with some wildlife issues. I had a similar problem when I had rabbits and armadillos messing up my yard. If you’ve got critters like that around, they could be the culprits!

We definitely have rabbits and sometimes deer visiting. That could be contributing to it for sure!

It could also be birds or other animals searching for grubs. I noticed crows digging in my yard and it left some marks similar to what you’ve got here. Maybe take a look and see if you have any birds hanging around that could be causing the mess!

Oh wow, I do see a lot of birds hopping around! That totally makes sense now that you mention it.
