I've got four pieces of Western red cedar 1x6s, all 10 feet long, just sitting around. I was initially thinking of using them to build some small side tables for my living room. But I'm starting to wonder if that's not the best use of this nice outdoor wood. Any creative ideas on what I could build instead?

You could also cut those boards down to create some 1x3s. With that kind of wood, you can do a lot of projects! Just make sure to plan ahead so you use them wisely.
If you want to use those leftover boards for something practical, why not consider making an outdoor storage box? It would be a great way to utilize that cedar for keeping garden tools or cushions safe from the weather! Plus, it would look good in your outdoor space.
