I've been gardening flowers for a long time, but this is my first time trying to grow tomatoes from seeds. Since there's no frost risk in my area anymore, can I start hardening them off? Or do they need even warmer weather before I put them outside?

I've had my tomato plants outside for almost a week now in a south-west facing courtyard garden, and they seem to be doing just fine! If the conditions are right, you should be good to go. Just keep an eye on them.
I always check the 10-day weather forecast before putting my tomatoes out. Aim for nighttime temps above 10°C and daytime highs around 18°C or more, with minimal wind. I’m planning to move mine outside this weekend because I’ve been hardening them off for a couple of weeks now, especially since it’s been a bit cold lately.
Definitely start hardening them off during warmer days, but hold off on leaving them out overnight until you’re consistently seeing nighttime lows above 10°C. It makes a big difference!
