Creative Ideas to Cover Up a Hole in the Wall

I'm looking for some creative suggestions to cover up a hole in my wall. It's about the size of a grapefruit or softball, located at the top of the stairs, between a closet and the floor, but around a foot above the ground. Right now, there's just masking tape around it, and walking past that every day feels like a paper cut! Maybe something cool like a Banksy-style mural or even a flower pot? Thanks for any ideas!

Is this hole in an interior wall? If so, maybe some wall art could work too! You could cover it with a piece of art or a decorative wall hanging that draws the eye away from the hole. Let it blend in as part of your decor!

Yes, it’s definitely interior! I love the wall art idea! It makes it look like a design choice.

You could always just fix it, but if you want to get creative, how about turning it into a feature? Consider adding a round frame around it and putting in a small plant, or even painting a design that fits the space. It can look intentional if done right!

I like the idea of framing it! It could really bring character to the area!
