Why are my lettuce seeds sprouting faster than my tomatoes and peppers?

I started my seeds last Sunday and after about 4 days, I've got some healthy-looking lettuce sprouts, but I'm still waiting on my tomatoes and peppers. They're all in the same tray with a dome, and I've maintained consistent humidity, moisture, and temperature. Is it normal for lettuce to sprout faster? Should I be worried about my tomato and pepper seeds?

Totally normal! Lettuce generally germinates quicker than tomatoes and peppers. They can take a bit longer since they thrive in warmer conditions. Just give them some time; you shouldn’t stress over it!

Thank you! I’m a bit anxious since it’s my first time and I’m using special seeds. Really hoping it all works out!

Lettuce is a fast-growing crop; you can even harvest some in about 30 days! On the other hand, tomatoes and peppers can take 75-90 days total. So don't panic, your plants will catch up!

Yeah, so lettuce seeds can often sprout in just a day or two, while tomatoes and peppers can take a week or even two. Just depends on the heat!
