Is it time to plant yet in Zone 5a?

Hey fellow gardeners! I'm in Maine (Zone 5a/b) and I'm wondering if this weekend is a good time to start hardening off my seedlings so I can plant next weekend (5/17). I'm getting really tired of babysitting these little guys! What do you all think, is it still too early?

I’m in eastern upstate NY, also in Zone 5, and I’m itching to plant too! But I think I’ll wait another week for tomatoes and peppers due to the risk of late frosts. I plan to test the soil temps this weekend, and if it's warm enough, I might toss in some beans or zucchini seeds.

You should check the forecast before making any moves! Here in my 5b zone, things are looking promising for the next couple of weeks. I’ve already got my cold crops in, and I’d feel comfortable planting everything except for the more sensitive stuff like cucumbers, zucchini, and squash.
