I'm having a really tough time with my lawn. No matter what I do, it just seems to get worse! I've tilled, aerated, used a disc cultivator, and planted various seeds both on the surface and underground. I've even watered it twice a day and tried to take care of the weeds. Now, all I'm left with is a muddy, clay mess that just won't thrive. I feel like I've been misled by all these gardening guides and I'm just being sold more products that don't work. Can anyone help me out with solid advice on how to get my lawn to grow? It's really frustrating!

Have you tried using fish emulsion? It can really boost the nutrients in poor soil. Just make sure you're not overwatering it—too much moisture can make it sticky and hinder growth.
You might want to consider starting with a soil test to see if there are any underlying issues. A lot of local universities offer this service for free, and it's a great step to check on the health of your soil. Also, looking into compost can really help improve soil quality.

Make sure you didn’t use any weed killer right after sowing your seeds, as that can kill off young grass before it has a chance to grow. Also, it might be worth checking if you're using the right type of grass for your climate. I'm in a warm area too, and Bermuda grass works well for me!
I’m using Bermuda grass since I'm in Dallas, but I’ll keep that in mind about the weed killer!
