Why Does My Rinnai Water Heater Take So Long to Heat Water?

Hey everyone! I'm having a problem with my Rinnai natural gas water heater. It's taking a lot longer to heat the water than my neighbor's, even though we both have the same model. Our houses were built at the same time, and everything seems to be in order with my heater, which is set to 120°F. I'm really curious about what could be causing this delay. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You might want to check your gas line pressure and orifice size. If it's not sufficient, it could slow down the heating process. Just something to consider!

It's important to figure out if this issue is happening at all fixtures or just some. If it’s only specific fixtures, you might have longer piping, which can affect how quickly hot water arrives. Also, do you or your neighbor have a recirculation line? That could make a big difference!

I think we both do have similar setups with our piping, but I'm not sure about recirculation lines. I’ll check on that!
