Hey everyone! I'm looking to replace my Echo gas blowers, both of which need a carb rebuild, so I thought it might be better to invest in something new. I'm eyeing two Milwaukee blowers: the single battery model (Milwaukee M18 FUEL 120 MPH, 500 CFM) and the dual battery model (Milwaukee M18 FUEL Dual Battery 145 MPH, 600 CFM). I'm curious if anyone has experience with these models. Is the performance of the dual battery really good enough to justify the price difference? I don't expect to use the blower for long periods, so I'm wondering if the single battery would suffice. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

The single battery blower (3017-20) is solid for an 18v battery blower, but it struggles with wet leaves. It's pretty quiet, though! The dual battery model offers better performance for wet conditions and tougher debris, but it's noisier and heavier. If you can manage to finish your tasks quicker with the dual battery, it might be worth it, but the single battery is on sale right now, so keep that in mind!
I'd go for the one with the 12ah battery. It costs around $299 but includes the charger, which is a good deal. Wish I'd picked that one first instead of the one without a battery!
I have the single battery unit, and honestly, I wouldn't want to deal with the extra weight of the dual battery for long uses. It gets heavy after a while!
I hear you! I have the dual battery model and just ordered the single battery because it’s just too cumbersome with two batteries for my jobs.

Totally agree! But if you're dealing with wet leaves regularly, I'd recommend checking out the Ego 765 which is similarly priced right now. Just a thought!
