I've got some contractors remodeling our master bathroom, and while it's not a huge task, it's not the simplest either. My wife and I have been really impressed with their work and how respectful they are, so I've started leaving them a little basket of snacks and a pitcher of water with glasses in the bathroom, telling them to help themselves. This morning, I offered them fresh coffee as well. They haven't taken anything yet, but they seem thankful. I'm just worried that offering them food and drinks might come off as rude. What do you all think? Is this okay?

I’ve offered water before, but none have taken it. I switched to factory-sealed bottles, and that got a great response! Maybe they just prefer their own drinks or are unsure about drinking from a pitcher. Either way, just keep being thoughtful!
If you truly want to show your appreciation, consider tipping them at the end. That usually means more to contractors than snacks. Plus, a good tip shows you're grateful for their hard work!
You're definitely not being rude! I think your gesture of leaving snacks and water is super thoughtful. Maybe just keep the snacks out for them to grab when they want, and no need to offer more unless they ask. You've already shown your kindness, and I'm sure they appreciate it!
Thanks for the reassurance! I've been leaving out the snacks and water and I let them know they can ask for anything they need. After our past experiences with bad contractors, it feels great to have good ones this time!
I think it's a kind gesture! Whenever I hire contractors, I leave out a cooler with cold drinks, especially in the summer. I've found that those drinks always get taken, while snacks sometimes don't. It's nice to offer something refreshing to keep them cool during work!
That's such a good idea! With it being hot and not running the A/C much, I wanted to ensure they have something cool. I’ll have to remember that for next time!
There's really nothing wrong with what you're doing! I usually ask my contractors ahead of time what they want, whether it's coffee or lunch, because everyone has different preferences. It's all about personal choice, and I'm sure they appreciate the offer!

Absolutely! We definitely plan on tipping them when the job is done. We're really pleased with their work.
