Hey folks! I'm about to replace the old wooden windows in my new house, and I'm curious if I can use that wood for some simple woodworking projects. I'm a total beginner and was thinking of trying one of Rex Krueger's easy designs, maybe something like a stool. Do you think it's worth trying to use that wood, and do you have any tips on how to make it usable? Thanks a bunch!

If your old windows are still in decent shape and not rotting, definitely think about storing them! They can actually be quite valuable if you ever decide to sell your house. I often find old windows worth big bucks when replacing cheaper plastic ones. Just a heads up, those plastic windows don’t last long, while good wooden windows with some storm protection can last forever!

Yeah, totally! In the long run, it’s better to hold onto them, you never know when someone might want them.
