I'm struggling with loading my weed wacker and I know there are speed feeders that make this easier. I've heard a lot about the Echo speed feed but I want to avoid spending over $150 if I can. Can anyone suggest good weed wacker options that are user-friendly? Thanks!

Check out the Echo 225! It has an easy loading feature where you just pull the string through and cut it to length. I find most other heads can be quite a headache to deal with.
If you're looking for tips on prolonging your string's life, try not to hit obstacles or tackle thick stems right away. This can make your line last longer. When loading, remember not to overdo it with the string—just wind it gently in the right direction and you're good to go! Choosing a higher quality string can also make a big difference.
I've been really happy with my Ego weed wacker. The auto-loading feature makes the whole process super simple and it works like a charm. Plus, the straight shaft model is a game-changer—no more gas hassle for me!
Honestly, I rarely use a weed wacker because I find it frustrating to deal with the string. Isn't there a model out there that uses a blade or some sort of wire that doesn’t break? It feels like we should have advanced past using fishing line by now!

Totally agree! The straight shaft on the Ego is awesome too. Definitely a smart investment!
