Can I Use 2.8mm Nails with My Milwaukee FFN-0C Framing Nailer?

Hey everyone,

I just got my hands on the Milwaukee FFN-0C framing nailer, and I've noticed something a bit puzzling. According to most Dutch websites, the nail diameter this tool supports is between 2.9mm and 3.3mm. However, I keep finding nails that are 2.8mm. Is it safe to use these thinner nails, or could that potentially harm my nailer? I'd love to hear any experiences or advice you've got on this! Thanks a lot!

You're good to go as long as those nails are paper strip type. In North America, a lot of shorter nails are around 0.113" (which is about 2.9mm). Can you drop a link to the nails you're thinking of using? That might help clarify things!

Sure! Here’s the link to the nails I found: https://www.tackerplein.nl/product/stripnagels-d-kop-2-8x65mm-ring-galv-verp-4-000/. Hope it helps! ?

Interestingly, even the Milwaukee branded nails available in Europe are 2.8mm in diameter! So it sounds like you should be just fine!
