I recently removed a mirror that was glued to a concrete wall, following some great tips I received. However, I noticed some slight damage to the wall, and I wasn't aware that there was a thin layer of paper beneath the mirror. I'm wondering how I can repair that paper layer. Do I need to replace it entirely or is there a way to fix it?

If the damage is pretty minor, you might just be able to use a small bit of joint compound to fill in the gaps. Sand it down once it's dry for a smooth finish before you paint or paper over it again. Just make sure to match the texture when you’re done!
You can definitely repair the paper damage without needing to replace the entire layer! Start by cleaning the damaged area gently, then use some wallpaper adhesive or paste to glue back any loose edges. If the damage is more extensive, you might have to patch it with new wallpaper or wall covering that matches the texture and color of the existing paper.
This sounds like solid advice! I faced a similar situation, and using the wallpaper adhesive really worked out for me.

Good tip! I would also suggest testing any paint or paste on a small area first to ensure it doesn’t ruin the finish.
