I recently mounted my LG TV but ran into some issues, so I switched to a Samsung model. When re-mounting, I forgot to add washers to the lag bolts that screw into the studs. The Samsung TV weighs about 80 lbs, and I noticed that the bolt heads are wide enough to cover a good area on the mount. I'm wondering if I need to take the TV off the mount to fix this or if it's safe to just take off the bolts one at a time, add washers, and reinsert them. How crucial are those washers in this situation?

You'll probably be fine as it is, but if it would make you feel better, taking them off one at a time is a solid approach.

I think I'll go that route. Taking the TV off totally seemed like overkill, but I just wanted to make sure it's safe to do it one by one. Thanks!
