What Size Basswood Blanks Do Woodcarvers Prefer?

Hey fellow woodcarvers! I just milled down a 14" basswood log into several carving blanks, and it turned out great. I ended up with a 4x10x10' and a 4x8x10' beam. I'm curious, what size do most of you typically use for carving? What dimensions are preferred in the carving community?

Most woodcarvers usually go for smaller blanks, like around 1.5 x 1.5 x 3 or 4 inches. They're just easier to work with for a lot of projects!
