I'm looking to build a 10x10 brick veneer patio next to my existing 10x10 cement slab. Right now, the area is just dirt with no grass. I prefer using brick veneer over regular bricks to minimize settling issues. Here's my plan:
1. Tamp the dirt
2. Lay down landscaping fabric
3. Spread and level sand
4. Build a 10x10 wooden frame
5. Attach plywood on top of that frame
6. Add cement board on top of the plywood
7. Lay the brick veneer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
I'm really struggling to find good tutorials online, so if you know a better method or any tips, I'd love to hear them!
