Which DeWalt Angle Grinder is Best for Household Use?

I'm looking for an angle grinder to use at home, primarily for some light projects. I want to make sure I can sand 1-inch thick corroded metal poles with an attachment. Any recommendations on which DeWalt model would be the best fit for this purpose?

Definitely consider getting a model with variable speed settings if you're using it for sanding. It’ll give you better control over the process.

I found that the XR 4-1/2 inch grinder kit is a great buy. It comes with a fast charger and an 8Ah battery for around $220. You can return the extra battery for a refund, making the total cost about $220. Just make sure to check out deals and discounts at places like Lowe's!

That kit sounds interesting! I noticed the 408B model is significantly cheaper at about $75 right now, and it seems to have a lot of similarities. Might be worth looking into if you're on a budget.

For your needs, I'd recommend checking out the DeWalt 418FV or the 416FVA. These models have the power you’ll need to tackle sanding without taking forever.
