Best Plants for a Bright, Shaded Bathroom?

Asked By SunnySideUp42 On

Hey everyone! I'm looking to spruce up my en-suite bathroom with some plants, specifically hanging varieties over or around the shower area. It gets bright light but is still a bit shaded. I'm considering using a spider plant and maybe my variegated pothos, but I'm open to more suggestions! Any tips on how to keep them thriving in a bathroom environment would also be appreciated! ??

I keep a snake plant in one bathroom where there’s a shaded window, and in another with no windows, I have a Boston fern that does great under grow light bulbs! If you can get those, it might help your plants thrive too!

Ohh the grow bulbs are a great idea!

Spider plants are super hardy! You might also like Anthurium and jewel orchids, since they really enjoy the humidity. They'll fit right in your bathroom!

I feel I’m cursed to kill every orchid I ever look at ? but I’ve never kept them in the bathroom so perhaps this is the way to go!

It really depends on the amount of light you have! If the light is lower, you might want to consider plants like Hoyas or ZZ plants. But if you've got bright light, then the humidity from the shower will allow you to try pretty much anything!

Thank you for your suggestions ?
