Hey everyone! I recently got a quote for converting my gas water heater to a tankless system, and I'm in shock at the price. They quoted me $9,125.41 for a Rinnai 11gpm tankless heater plus a recirculating pump and some electrical work. I live in a house with a big crawl space, and the company said my current heater can't be repaired because it's leaking. I've read that replacement was probably my best option, but I can't find anywhere that lists prices this high. Is this normal?

If you're not planning on staying in your home long, it might not make sense financially. My wife and I opted against a big system change for that reason, and we found better options at lower prices.
