I'm looking into two EG4 inverters: the FlexBOSS18 and the 18kPV-12LV All-In-One Hybrid Inverter. I can't find significant differences between them other than their maximum power handling. I currently have an off-grid setup with a 6480W panel, a 30kWh battery, and a 5000W inverter. I'm interested in grid-tying my system because I generate excess energy in the spring and fall and want to feed some of that back to the grid to reduce my energy costs. I also want to know if Victron offers a hybrid inverter that can do this, as their product page doesn't mention grid feeding.

One important thing to consider is the service connection costs and whether your utility will compensate you for the energy you export. For example, in my area, it's a $44 monthly fee just to stay connected, and I only get credited $0.03 per kWh for any energy I send back to the grid, which resets annually. Regarding Victron, as far as I know, they don’t support grid export in the USA—but they might be working on it.

I did my research too, and thankfully I found that my area has no fees for grid export and offers a 1:1 buyback. It's unfortunate Victron hasn't made much progress on this.
