Hey everyone! Since COVID hit, I developed a passion for houseplants and spent a lot of time nurturing them. However, now that I have a job, a marriage, and a home to take care of, I find myself neglecting my plants. They're not thriving like they used to, and I could really use some advice or encouragement. Does anyone else struggle with balancing plant care with busy life? How do you manage your plants when you're short on time?

I totally get where you’re coming from! I've also gone through phases where I'm just too busy for in-depth plant care. What helps me is setting occasional reminders to water my plants—try using an app or setting a 'Water Wednesday' reminder. It’s super quick when the can is already filled. And if you feel like the pressure is too much, it’s completely okay to rethink your plant collection. Succulents or snake plants are great low-maintenance options!
One thing that's really worked for me is creating a Saturday morning ritual. I check all my plants once a week, which helps me keep track without feeling overwhelmed. I also group plants with similar care needs so I can water them all at once. This way, I'm not spending too much time on maintenance at once, and it feels good to connect with them. It's amazing how they can thrive even with a bit of neglect, so don’t stress too much!
Honestly, most plants are pretty resilient and can handle being neglected a little. When life gets hectic, I simplify my plant collection by combining some that have the same care requirements into bigger planters. It definitely cuts down on the work! Plus, if you’re still enjoying having them around, that’s the most important part!
