I'm trying to install a 1" PVC pipe under my concrete driveway, which is about 11 feet wide and has a heavy gravel base underneath. I attempted to use a water jet technique but didn't make any progress because of the gravel. Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation? I would appreciate any advice on how to successfully get the pipe installed. Thanks!

First off, you might want to check the size and depth of your gravel base. If it's compacted down hard, that might be the issue. I suggest going deeper if possible; I had success using metal conduit. Get one a couple of feet longer than you need, crush the end closed, and then hammer it through from under the concrete. Once it’s all the way through, just cut off the smashed end. It might help!
That sounds like a solid plan! I'd probably need to hire someone for the hammering part; I can’t do that anymore!
