For me, quality and price are paramount. But beyond those, I lean towards contractors who take the time to really listen to my ideas and offer solid suggestions. It's all about finding someone easy to work with, especially since I've had some bad experiences in the past. Once I ended up in small claims court over a botched slab that turned out to be totally off shape!
