I'm curious about the ideal size openings for a trellis when growing cucumbers and cantaloupe vertically. What do you all prefer?

Honestly, I’d say aim for openings big enough for your hand to easily get through when it's time to pick the cucumbers. You put so much effort into your garden, so you don’t want to wrestle just to harvest your fruits!
I think around 6 inches should work well. That way, the plants can easily grow up through the openings without needing too much assistance, and it saves on material.
