Hey everyone! I just had my carpenter start re-trimming half of my house, and I'm unsure about the quality of his work so far. I've attached some photos here: https://imgur.com/a/Smbxryu. Since I'm not a professional, I'm not quite sure what's considered acceptable. Personally, I think one of the cuts looks good, but the others have some noticeable gaps and misalignment. I'd really like to handle this delicately as he's just starting, but any advice on how to approach him would be great!

The first two look decent to me, but yeah, the last one doesn’t line up right. It might need a little extra attention, especially since reveals can’t be fixed just with filler. If he can’t get those right, it might raise some concerns about the overall quality of his work.
Honestly, a little caulk or filler can help tidy up those gaps! Once it’s all painted, it should look a lot better. If you’re worried, maybe have a friendly chat with him about what you really want.
I think the first cut is fine, but the second one is just okay, and the third needs some work. Definitely ask him to fix the misalignment. It's better to address it now than deal with it later!
