Hey everyone! I'm located in Pennsylvania, pretty close to the New York border, and I've noticed some shifting in the corner of my foundation. It's causing a bit of settling over time, and I need to figure out how to fix it. Just to clarify, it's not the main house, but an enclosed porch with a crawl space behind it—not a full basement. If anyone needs to see it, I have some pictures I can't post but can share. It's a fieldstone foundation. Any tips would be appreciated!

You might want to consider mortaring the joints and doing a skim coat to add some stability. However, I'm not a professional mason, just sharing what I know. Honestly, unless you really need to do major repairs or completely replace the foundation—which doesn’t seem necessary since it’s just a porch—providing the current foundation with some extra support could be a solid move to prevent any more movement.
I wouldn't rely just on mortaring to hold it together. If there's significant shifting, you might need to explore more robust solutions to secure that corner. Just keep an eye on how much it settles over time to better assess if it needs more than just maintenance.
