I'm trying to create a well-aerated and well-draining soil for my tropical plants. I've heard that pumice might be better than perlite, but is it strictly for succulents or can I use it for my non-succulent tropicals as well?

I usually go with a 50/50 mix of potting soil and orchid bark, which works great without pumice or perlite.
For some context, I'm currently caring for a coleus, a money tree, an anthurium plowmanni, and a dwarf umbrella tree, and pumice has worked well for all of them!
I've used pumice for my tropical plants, and I actually prefer it over perlite. It's great for drainage!
What brand of pumice do you use? And what's your mix ratio?
