I'm dealing with some health issues that make it tough for me to keep up with mowing my sloped front lawn, and it's getting pretty overgrown. I can't afford to hire a gardener at the moment. Do you have any practical tips or suggestions for managing it until I can save enough to get professional help? I live near Llantrisant, South Wales.

Why not toss some wildflower seeds over your lawn? Letting it grow wild for now could be a beautiful option. You can always return to a regular lawn once you're feeling better—or just enjoy a little meadow!
Have you checked if there are any local community groups on Facebook? You might find an environmental group that could help. You could propose turning your front lawn into a wildflower garden as a project in exchange for their assistance. It could be a great way to keep things manageable!
Since you mentioned not being able to afford a gardener, have you tried asking your neighbors if their kids would be interested in mowing your lawn for a small fee? Sometimes kids are eager to earn a quick fiver!
I’ve already tried that, but no luck so far.
My son loves mowing! It’s a shame I live 300 miles away, but I think that’s a fantastic idea!

Great idea! I’ll look into it, thanks!
