Hey everyone! I'm new to solar power and need some help. I live in a small apartment with a patio that gets decent sunlight for at least half the day. I want to set up a solar power system that's compact enough for my space. My main goal is to support my small chest freezer in case of power outages. While I typically don't experience long outages here in the Bay Area, I'd like to be prepared. Ideally, I'd also like to power a fan and a light, but saving my food is the priority. Any advice or suggestions would really help! Thanks!

It sounds totally doable! What's your budget looking like? A single solar panel might not be enough for your needs, especially if it’s primarily for backup. Depending on your usage, you won't drain the battery heavily if you're just using it occasionally.

I'm hoping to keep it under $1000. Cheaper is always better, but I don’t mind spending a little more for something superior. I have a 4'x4' space for the panel, so if more panels can fit, I could consider that.
