I'm looking to get into woodworking but feel overwhelmed by all the tools and big spaces that professionals seem to have. Right now, I just have an indoor table for crafts and some basic tools like a power drill, rotary tool, hammer, and hack saw. I also work with silicone and epoxy resin and have some related tools like a vacuum chamber and a respirator. I do have sandpaper, but no power sander or serious woodworking tools. I'm interested in building projects and also want to try furniture refurbishing since I have some old pieces that need a lot of work. Are there any fun woodworking projects I can tackle with just what I have, without needing to buy lots of expensive equipment?

Starting off, a simple box is a great project idea! It's straightforward and requires minimal materials. It'll help you figure out if woodworking is really your thing without spending a lot.

You'll definitely need a way to cut wood. A circular saw would be a solid option and you can find one for around $45 at places like Lowes. You could also look at second-hand options on marketplace websites. Just a tip: steer clear of the super cheap brands as they might not last long. If you prefer a hand tool approach, Japanese saws can be pretty affordable and effective too!
Hand saws can teach you to measure carefully, which is a great skill to have. I've got a few that have lasted me ages!
