Hey everyone! I'm a total beginner, and I'm struggling to make straight cuts with my jigsaw on small pieces of wood. I'm finding it tricky to use my straight edge and clamp the wood securely without the jigsaw colliding with the clamps. Does anyone have some tips or tricks for clamping small pieces effectively so I can get those clean cuts? Thanks in advance!

If clamps are getting in your way, try using double-sided tape. It can hold the small wood pieces firmly without sticking out like clamps do, making it easier to maneuver the jigsaw.
You might want to try clamping your small pieces to a larger scrap piece of wood. That way, you have more space and it helps prevent the jigsaw from hitting your clamps. If you're still having trouble, consider building a jig to hold the pieces steady while you cut.
