Hey everyone! Tomorrow is a special day for me and my wife—it's our 15th anniversary! I've got a few gifts and surprises lined up, but my brain is a bit foggy when it comes to putting together a cute DIY project that I can finish in 2-3 hours. I've got most tools handy, but I'm missing a band saw. I'm looking for fun and unique project ideas that would make a great gift, so I'd love to hear your suggestions!

You could also consider cutting out a heart shape from some nice scrap wood, then sand it down to get it smooth. If you're up for it, you could even carve your initials into it, just like carving into a tree! It's simple yet meaningful.
A simple jewelry or keepsake box could be a great idea! I started with just a basic design and added tiny hinges and a little clasp. They're pretty easy to make, and even if they don't come out perfectly square, they'll still look nice and last a long time!
One sweet project I did was carving the first letter of my wife's name in a block of 2x4. I cut it to a nice square and then used some tools to shape the letter so it stands out. It took about an hour, and I finished it with boiled linseed oil, which took a few days to cure, but it was totally worth it! You'd get to use different tools like squares and chisels, so it's a fun option!
If you have a draw shave or similar tool, making cute flowers out of wood shavings can be a lovely touch! It’s unique and adds a personal flair to your gift.

That sounds really cool, will keep it in mind. Thanks man!
