Why Are My Succulents Losing Their Leaves in the Heat?

Hey everyone! I live in a really hot area and it seems to be getting hotter by the day. I've been trying to keep my succulents shaded to help them out, but I'm noticing a strange issue. While they look gorgeous, whenever I touch one gently, the leaves just fall off. Is this a result of the heat? What should I do?

Yeah, it can definitely be a problem caused by the heat! If you're watering them too much in those high temperatures, it could be flat out stressing them. During the heat, some succulents might enter a dormancy phase to conserve energy, and watering them then can lead to leaf drop and other issues.

Just a heads up, you should remove those leaves that are falling off. If they sit on the plant, they could rot and cause more trouble down the line. Keep an eye on that!
