Hey folks, I'm dealing with a mice problem this winter and it seems they're getting into my house through a gap around the gas pipe from my kitchen stove. I've tried various traps and chemicals, but nothing's worked so far. I'm looking for a solution to seal this gap that is safe, non-flammable, and can be used around a gas line. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can use rodent-control spray foam, which is specifically designed for sealing gaps, or just stuff some steel wool in there. Just be careful not to use steel wool near electrical stuff!

I did come across a warning saying some types of steel cloth might react with the gas piping material and could cause leaks. So, maybe it's better to avoid using steel wool around that pipe.
