Building a Temporary Pallet Deck for My Above Ground Pool

Hey DIY Enthusiasts! I just moved into a new property last June and decided to get an entry-level above-ground pool to stay cool this summer. I'm planning to build a pallet deck as a temporary solution for about 2-3 years. The idea is to lay hardwood pallets on patio stones, then put plywood on top and cover it with artificial turf. My main worry is the plywood might absorb water and rot quickly. I'm looking for alternative ideas or methods to achieve this. Any advice? Thanks a bunch!

How big are you thinking for this deck? If it's just for 2-3 years, some inexpensive decking boards could be a better choice than plywood. It'll give you a sturdier surface to work with.

I'm aiming for about 15x20, give or take.

You could consider using pressure-treated plywood and sealing it to extend its life. Just be aware that without the fake grass, it might hold up better. But if you want to use mats instead of turf, go for it!

Are you suggesting to leave the pressure-treated plywood open? Would outdoor mats work on top of that?
