Hey everyone, I need some advice about my house getting way too hot. I live in Western Massachusetts and have been in this pre-fab house since 2022. The house was built back in 2000 and I noticed that it can feel incredibly hot inside, even when the outside temperature isn't too high. It only gets worse when the temperature rises! The first-floor toilet sweats, and the upstairs bathroom next to the attic feels like a sauna. Since it's still May, I'm trying to wait before putting in the window AC units to save on energy bills, but we have fans going and a dehumidifier in the basement working continuously. It cools off at night, but the humidity is tough on my pregnant wife and toddler. Could the insulation be outdated? Is something wrong with the basement or the attached garage? I really want to avoid using AC for as long as I can!
