Can I safely use a 3-step ladder if I can’t step on the top 2 rungs?

I'm considering getting a small ladder for household tasks, but I've seen that the safety labels warn against using the top two rungs. Does that mean I should only feel safe using the first rung on a 3-step ladder?

Yeah, those safety warnings are more about preventing accidents than saying you can only use the first rung. Just make sure you have a good grip and are cautious when using the higher rungs. It's all about being careful!

Safety on a ladder is really about proper use rather than strict rules. Most people do use the top two rungs occasionally, but it’s important to have good balance and take precautions. For indoor tasks, a 4-foot ladder can be a better fit since it offers more stability.
