Where Are All the Pollinators This Year?

I've been observing a noticeable lack of pollinating insects in middle Tennessee this year. I'm staring at the flowers on my potato and tomato plants, but there's hardly any activity from the bugs. Has anyone else noticed this trend?

I'm in western North Carolina and I've noticed a dip in pollinators too. Earlier this year, there were plenty of bees when the ajuga was blooming, but now that my penstemon is flowering, it's quite empty! It makes me a bit anxious, kind of like that movie *The Happening*!

Haha, I get that! It’s comforting to know I'm not the only one feeling this way. If things don’t pick up, I might just resort to using an electric toothbrush to help out!
