I just noticed that I have both termites and fire ants in my raised garden bed while trying to plant. I'm really worried they might damage my plants. Should I get rid of them, and if so, how can I do that effectively?

I've faced fire ants in my concrete block raised beds too. What I do is create a liquid mix of Nature's Orange 100% Pure Food Grade D-Limonene with water—just a few tablespoons per gallon. Flood their nests with it, and they’re usually gone fast. It’s safe because it’s made from orange oil, but I'm not sure how it would work on termites.
It's definitely a good idea to get rid of both termites and fire ants. For a targeted approach, use a bait that you can easily remove afterward, avoiding sprays or dusts that linger. Termites can be super destructive, and fire ants can be quite aggressive too!
For both pests, a mix of Borax and cornmeal works well, just add a bit of vegetable oil and honey to it. Simple and effective!
