I'm on the lookout for a battery-operated chainsaw that would be perfect for tackling small trees around my homestead, especially since I'm left-handed and can't manage traditional pull cords. I need something that can handle trees with a diameter of about 5 to 6 inches. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Most well-known tool brands have solid options for your needs. If you're sticking with DeWalt for your other tools, it makes sense to buy their chainsaw too. Avoid mixing battery brands—it can get messy with adapters and all that.
If you're asking for battery-operated options, I recommend the DeWalt DCCS623B. My wife has it, and it handles small trees like a champ—even the 6" ones she needed to cut down. Plus, if you already have some DeWalt tools and batteries, it's a perfect match!
Thank you!
My buddy just got a Toro 60v chainsaw, and it worked like a dream after a tree fell across his driveway. It's got a real chainsaw chain and an 18" bar—plenty of power for what you need!
I will look it up. Thank you.
I'm also left-handed and not a big fan of standard chainsaws. For small jobs, I recently got a battery-operated one, but I'm hesitant about its ability to cut through 5-6" trees. I typically just stick with a bow saw, which is lightweight and easy to maneuver, but if you're planning on cutting for firewood, it might not be the best choice.
I already have a bow saw, which works well for pruning. I just struggle with the traditional pull cords.

Great point, thank you!
