I'm considering getting a staple gun and can't decide between the Milwaukee M18 battery-operated one or an air-powered staple gun. I want to know which option is generally more reliable in terms of battery life and overall tool durability. If you've used both, please share what you think!

For sure, the Paslodes can be expensive due to their upkeep. If you’re comparing weight, the Paslode narrow crown stapler is manageable at around 6.5 lbs, which is much lighter than most air tools. Just consider what kind of projects you'll be tackling and how much weight you’re comfortable handling. If you’re doing lighter jobs, the narrower crown might be the way to go!
The M18 staple guns are super convenient since they don’t require any hoses, which can be a major tripping hazard. Yeah, they’re heavier and usually pricier, but they’re great for mobility and less hassle. Think of it this way: you can just grab and go without dealing with an air compressor or a tangled hose. For lightweight options, you might want to check out Paslode staples, but keep in mind that their fuel cells can get pricey.
